shutterart.net began as an idea created by PhotoArtist John Huntley. John has been taking pictures since he was 12 years old, beginning with his first Kodak Pocket camera he received as a Christmas present. At 16, while working in the family owned bakery in Springfield, MO, John purchased a Pentax SLR 35mm camera and began a real interest in photography. Today, with the use of a Nikon digital SLR camera and digital editing, Johns interests turned into not just photography, but Shutter Art, a term often used by John to describe his style of photography.
While John still enjoys his love for photography, his new interest in digital editing has opened an entirely new opportunity to expand his portfolio.
John currently displays several of his works at WannaGetta PIZZA in Springfield, MO which he and his sister have owned and operated since 2003. He also has developed www.artistsoftheozarks.com to help other local artists display their works.
